Nice you will have to keep us all in mind once those frags get up to distribution size. I am waiting for pictures.....if this set up is anything like your old one it will be amazing as usual......

The system will begin set-up in the begining of March once we move into the new appartment. I am looking forward to this, as I love setting up new SW systems.
Today I picked up what we had in stock at the store and the rest is being placed on order. I will get the final quote on the tanks & stands hopefull tomorrow or Wed. and keep my fingers crossed it will all arrive by my move in date.
I also picked up 90lbs of cured LR off of an acquaintance, the price was good but the rock is pretty bare. I am also going to pick up some of the nice Fiji LR we got in at work to add to the system as well. I have it all in a tub in the basement with a heater and powerheads on it to keep it alive till the system is up and running... I also am keeping it there to observe it for any unwanted hitchers.

Well that is all for updates at this time... oh and Lorna, I will definitely keep everyone in mind, but I do live in Canada and not sure shipping to the states is an option.

Sounds like a great setup.

To be honest, I think you could get a better RO system (with DI) for less. 35gpd seems really slow

Exciting news... so as I stated before I have my LR in a tub in the basement and I have been doing regular inspections looking for any unwanted hitch hikers. Well I notice a small quarter sized anemone on one of the rocks and was not sure what species it was, first I thought maybe a majono but then after closer inspection ruled that out... as well this anemone is mobel. I then thought maybe a small BTA and after talking with the guy I bought the LR off of... turns out he had a Rose Bulb Anemone.
For those who are not farmiliar with this anemone it is also known as The Rose Bubble Tip Anemone... a less common form of the Bubble Tip Anemone or BTA for short. This is excitin news as these guys retail for about $80-100, not bad for a hitch hiker
The only bad thing is I do not have my lighting units yet, so I'm going to have to buy a new bulb for my PC 28watt light which is all I can do for now and keep my fingers crossed.

As well the tank ETA is 3-4 week... blaaa a little longer then I was hoping but they have to temper some off the glass pains due to the drilled holes.

watch that anemone if it is a bta as they are light hungry. Keep an eye on params and keep it fed as it will not be gaining enough from light alone to sustain it. If it is small then just mysis should do but if a bit bigger chunks of silversides once a week until you get set up. Be prepared to move it to save it though. That is a great scoop iif truly a rose bta.

Just got notified the lighting should be in tomorrow... I'm going to set up my old 10g tank and throw that chunk of LR with the RoseTip into that tank with the 150w HQI bulb. I started feeding yesterday as well... man and to think I was going to juice that thing
Oh and the stands are ready for me to pick up on Monday... It's all starting to come together.
