Yeah, that's precisely what you need in that tank, more plants!

hahaha well I kinda do :P. I have no foreground at all... especially now that I

~~REVAMPED!!!~~

lol I did a complete rehaul... or rather i am half way through one. I was planning on doing some simple maintenance but I decided to move stuff around big time. Once I am done tomorrow I am hoping to have a camera and will take many pictures. I have the driftwood done and the crypts planted, so tomorrow I just have a crapload of stems to trim and plant and then pics away! Also I hope to get my foreground plant on Wednesday but we'll see what the LFS has- usually nothing :/

Well I decided against posting pics so I could enter the POTM contest, but I have other news

During the rescape I made a cave by stacking rocks up, supported by some driftwood, back in a corner where I can hide it from view by plants, yet look through the glass at the side to check for eggs from my kribs. No eggs yet, but I definitely think they are planning on it!!

The kribs are colouring up a lot- the male with very colourful dorsal fin, his pectoral fins are a nice shimmery blue, his tummy is pink and his black stripe is showing up; the female's tummy is super pink and I *think* I can see eggs in her tummy (the pink area has a white shimmer behind it sort of deal- much like the gravid spot on a guppy but white... sort of lol sorry first time), and her face and body are turning yellow and very colourful.

I see them protecting the cave side of the tank, chasing fish out and such. I also see the female swim around and then the male follow her closely. If he falls behind or loses her he darts over to her and scares the other fish away form her.

Sound like breeding behaviour to any of you???? Seems it to me

EDIT: my LFS better have some foreground plants for me tomorrow I swear....... lol

great job, well done.

i wouldnt mind knowing how the tank is going to date.... any major changes ?

careful with those kribs. They can get notoriously mean at times. Keep a close Eye on them esp when they breed.

Shark Bite- haha no worries. I kind of thought that was what was up haha.

Bob- yeah I figured as much- thanks for the heads up. They seem to be courting pretty heavily as of late. The kribs seem to be very friendly with the cories and ignore everyone else, and with only guppies and a neon in there other than the ottos and cories I am not too too worried. My tank isn't overly stocked by any standards so the fish should be able to find a place to hide while they breed.

Update: FINALLY got some foreground and some new crypts. Not going to give much for details with the POTM coming up, but once that is over with... meaning in a month and a half... I will post up new pics.

I hope so too, if not imagine how much in the dust my tank would leave yours during the POTM contest, haha (j/k).

Haha, ouch! I think I'm trembling... and not because it's pretty stormy outside, but because my foreground decided to go on a strike.

I'll see you on the POTM contest. You'd best "bring it", haha... I need to watch Bring it On, to pump myself up of course .
