| After doing a bit of digging on the internet, I found that the arrowhead plant is a sagittaria type plant in all likelihood. I think it could be Sagittaria latifolia but I am not sure. Can't find much else for my other plants. Does anyone have a link to a native forum or something where I might get some ID help?

| I added some Water Forget-Me-Not and a tall grassy type plant. I also added 3 tiny minnows... but they didn't even last 5 minutes- they seem to be dying during the acclimation, let alone once in my tank :'(. Not sure what else I can put in my tank. Anything I can get is either tiny minnows, big sunfish, or 2-3 inch long minnows that I fear would jump out. I am considering putting in a salamander- make a platform out of twigs and some java moss (kind of cheating with the moss, losing the true native biotope of the tank.. but we will see how it goes). If they can climb though then I am out that idea as well .I will give some more pictures later tonight if I have time- the water is quite clear now and I will snap some of the new plants . I am loving this!! ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: Salamander idea is out- they can apparently climb vertical glass walls . I have no idea what I am going to stock this tank with :'(.

| Yeah, all that sediment clogs up the fish's gills. You might want to hook up a sponge filter or something to try and get some of it out. Or maybe drain then refill very slowly and carefully.

| Yeah- that is what I did to get the 'dust' down. It is clearing up again- it mucked up after I planted the flowers and grass and anachris. I just don't know what to stock it with now.

| Hmm, you could try getting one of those screen tops that they use for reptile tanks, that way you could still get salamanders or some other amphibian.

| that's true- it is just that in doing so, I think the plants would have too hard of a time growing up and out... I am really liking this open top thing, and having the plants grow over the top. lol I know I know, so difficult

| well I don't want to keep having to replant the plants I go grab- I want these ones to grow and propagate. It is an option though, you are right .
