| How's This for A First Effort? Here is my first attempt at a tank other than a 10 gal w/ some goldfish for the kids. It's a 75 African Tank - Crushed Coral substrate and Lace and River Rocks - filtration is a 400b and a 30-60 - 250 Stealth Heater- 48 in Standard Fluorescent light - pretty simple stuff. Thanks for your input.

| Thanks! Congrats on the little bundle of joy!! Remember, "A Baby Changes Everything!" Mine are 2 and 5 - the best little tank helpers in the world - except for the time Chelsea (2) dumped an entire new jar of Sprectum in the tank - not only was it 13$ wasted but the tank did not look so good with all that food floating on the top - sort of looked like a stagnant marsh in the late fall - oh well, gotta love 'em!! |

| Nice new fish. They get pretty big, most if not all Dimidiochromis do. They should put on some impressive color though. Not really to familiar with that exact species but i'd treat them the same as a Dimidiochromis compressiceps (Malawi Eye biter).

| I think i've seen that speices of cichlid at my LFS. When it gets bigger it has beautiful vivid colors(at least to me)on it's fins and some if not most of it's body. I think it grows to 7" or so but i'm not sure.
