Looks like it's coming along. I'd tie all of the java fern to the wood. Maybe find a bigger piece of driftwood or rock to attach the anubias to.

What are you using for a substrate? It sort of bleaches out the plants. You might put some darker gravel or rocks on top, scattered around, to darken it up some. That would show off your plants and fish better.

I wedge the java fern in between the driftwood, and its a pretty tight hold. The substrate is some white sand i got from the LFS. I was actually looking for black sand, but they were all out. I actually like the white sand now.

I am with Katie- I am loving it! Tom is right about the white sand IMO- but if you like it that is ALL that matters

Thanks guys, I am moving in a month, so that means I have to move all my tanks, and get to set up some new ones! I might change the substrate then or add a layer of rock over the white sand or something, I will also be able to order new plants.

I was also planning on a carpet of HC, but I put the shrimp in too early and they started to pick at it. There would have been less bleaching of the plants, because the sand in front would have been covered with HC.
