| Beautiful green color on all your plants Avalon! The gravel color is very natural and really makes me want to darken up my gravel on one of my tanks. The driftwood on the left side appears to have some roundish growth on it. What is that? Or just my perception? I have some reddish round nobs of growth on a rock in one of my tanks and it doesn't seem to spread off the rock onto the nreaby plants.
The dwarf hairgrass or the tenellus would look nice. I think the tank is tall enough to handle tenellus and still appear tall enough, although the hairgrass would make the tank look bigger IMO.
It is good to see such beautiful results with ~2.7wpg. |

| Update:
Finally got some time to tinker with things & take a pic. I removed a piece of wood and moved the big one over for my GT. He likes the right side of the tank and the shelter of the wood. I did have more plants in there, but I pulled some out. I may eventually pull more out and add some rockwork. Still working on nutrient control. I think I got it figured out.
I picked up 5 more small clown loaches. They are hiding/acclimating at the moment. I want to add a small midas cichlid, but I'm not sure how well the GT will get along with him. He'll either not care, or beat him up. I'm thinking when the midas grows up, there's gonna be problems with compatability and/or digging. Might be a good excuse for a larger tank We'll see. 'Till next time...

| Thought I'd update this tank. Nothing much as changed other than removing the driftwood. It's much cleaner now. It's kind of hairy, but I'm just letting it grow in and get some hefty plant biomass.

| Great tank! I am still trying to figure out how I want to go about planting my 55 gallon for the battlefield scenery.
