Default mince meat

Is it ok to feed pirhanas minced beef?

We were told that it's ok to, we also give them live bloodworms as they are still too small to bite big!

Also how often are we best feeding them?

All I know is that is will leave a film of grease (I think grease) on the top of your water. At least lunch meat does.

So far the lean mince has been ok.

Any uneaten meat we remove pronto.

The water is still clear and fish still happy. One is getting bigger faster than the other 2, he eats the most and wrestles the meat off the other 2, funny to watch.

I dont feed my piranhas any cooked meat...all raw. Cooked meat wont have the same nutritional value as raw meat.

since most meat is protein, it's very easy to denature the protein in the meat, thus eliminating some nutrients from the meat. of course, raw meat also carries far more pathogens then cooked meat, so it's a trade off. also, some people tend to be repulsed by the idea of feeding pets raw meat.
