i can't belive you would want to breed these monster fish.i'm not too sure how to sex them.i do know this, tankmates are seketchy at best as large cichlids will pick at them and make them nervous but if they are big enough they will eat them if they get the chance most other fish are too small.snakeheads will eat almost anything meaty.these fish are defintly carnivores.just try not to get bitten when you feed them as eventaly they can become dangerous to you.you'll want to keep a tight lid on their tank as they are good at escaping and will do ok on land for short periods of time.long enough for a pet or child to get hurt or even killed

Heh, I half-expected that to be a link to pictures of freshly-guillotined snakeheads, considering their reputation

They are prolly the most DAMNEDABLE fish ever... Here is Nebraska, it is against the law to have them. Alot of stupids that have them as pets realize how nasty that they can be, and release them into the wild. Snakeheads adapt very easily in any situation and can destroy an Ecosystem very quickly.
