| snail gone? i had 3 snails, fairly big ones, about the size of a 50 cent peice. now i have 2, i dont see an empty shell, any ideas? will they try to get out of the tank?

| Many times that has occured to me. The snail most likely crawled out of the tank, it should be around the tank area. It hasn't gotten far.

| no i havent looked up in the hood, ill have to go check there now. i hope he didnt get out, the tank sits in the wall, so hed be roaming back in the little cubby space.

| Yep...mine are usually hangin out (literally) on the hood or a couple of them have gotten out via where the filter hangs into the tank.  |

| so i took the wall apart and found him stuck in the big floor grate, how long can these guys live out of the water? i could see him inside the shell, dont know if he was dead or not, if he's dead i at least got a nice tank decoration.

| i put him back in the tank right away, he only cost me a 1.50, and i still have 2 more, they had babies once, but the bichir ate them quickly. worst case scenario is i have a $1.50 decoration
