Default ADF eating zucchini

I put zucchini in my tank for the loaches and at least one adf has ingested the fibrous stands from it. I jsut saw a piece that he had trouble swallowing, which was promptly swallowed when I introduced his feeding baster. I wasn't feeding though, so he didn't ingest anything else.

I then noticed he has a strand coming out the other end so it isn't digesting, but seems to be passing.

Should I be concerned? could this potentially back up in his system? Any harm in him eating plant material, since they seem to require primarily protein? Any experiences with this?

thanks!
