Default Tiger Shrimp

hey, I was just reading along and came across "tiger shrimp". I am looking for shrimp to put in my 15 gallon fresh water tank that contains guppies and sword tails. I looked on google to see what these tiger shrimp were. all i got was that they might be salt water and the kind you eat at restranuts. If any of you could help me out with figuring out if this shrimp is right for my tank, that would be great.

if your looking to buy some you can try aquabid.com in the invertabrate section and usualy there is some for sale along with some other types. I haven't seen anyone selling just tiger shrimp yet, maybe its not as popular though. You can also try azgardens.com and they're selling like $3 each, i might buy some from them or either from another hobbyist soon or either get some crystal red shrimp, still deciding :/ maybe both
