Cherry shrimp eat about the same amount of algae as Amano, but Cherry shrimp eat a wider variety of algae.

Cherry and Amano shrimp don't get quite as big as most ghost shrimp, but they are usually purchased at the same size in my experience.

I believe Amanos get significantly larger than ghost shrimp. I have a dozen or so Amanos and they seem to moult more often than do my ghost shrimp, which are also smaller.

here's a great page that goes over the differences in freshwater shrimp http://www.azgardens.com/shrimpfactory.php and they say cherry shrimp are about half the size of amanos.
