Default floating snail

i have a snail thats floating in my tank, iv never seen this before. is it dead?

I have a snail acting weird myself. I did some research. As long as the snail is not stinky then he is fine. They sometimes do this but the reason is unknown. After you shut the lights out at night wait a little bit and then check. You might be surprised. I hope that helps.

dead snails float, but not all floating snails are dead...if that makes sense. LOL

i sometimes saw my snails crawling along the substrate, and then randomly floating up to the surface. they would then wait untill the got to the side of the tank and crawl back down.
