Thumbs down Neon Tetra

One of our neons died yestarday.. I don't know what was wrong with him... He puffed up like a balloon in his stomach only..... it was right after eating... So.. I don't know if he was just bloated.. or if he over ate.. or what.??

But.. he is gone.... couldn't save him.. Poor little dude....

Aww. I'm sorry.

He may have eaten too much, or eaten something that was too big and got it lodged in his intestinal tract. Could have had something go wrong internally, like a bowel obstruction....It's scales weren't lifted up, were they?

Sorry about your loss, I agree with Leopardess, it probably ate to much. This may shock people but I have NEVER owned a Neon Tetra.

Nope... his scales weren't lifted at all.. he was trying to swim upside down.... poor little thing.. all the other fish were bugging him.. and so I just took him into a big net.. and helped him that way.... kept him in the tank. but just hung the net on the edge..

I think he did eat too much. he was always a little pig.. as all our other fish are here.. Wow.... lol...

He more than likely had a huge gas pain.. or something in his tummy.. it almost looked like if you gave him a little pinch.. he would pass the gas.. but... he was too little... for CPR>. lol.... *wink*...
