Default Good-bye Gordon

Poor Golden Gordon succumbed to a badly infected injury last night and now rests in the garden beneath the kitchen window. He will be most sadly missed by the entire family and a host of human friends who admired the way he jumped up to get his breakfast and got a laugh when he battled his reflection.
Rest in Peace little guy.

Thank you Twoluvcats, he was beautiful and was pretty special. I've never seen such a lively Betta - they're usually so lethargic, but Gordon was interested in everything and was happy living on my kitchen counter. It'll seem very strange without him now after 1 1/2 years. I'll probably get another one eventually as I'm "hooked" on Bettas. (sorry fishies, used the "h" word!)

Yes he was, and thank you for your kind sympathies Mike. It's truly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, I find when I lose my bettas it's harder as well since they meet you at the surface when you come by and jump at you to get their food or even the way they swim to the glass to say hi....Again I'm sorry

Thank you Animal Lover - you're so right, they really are social fish and I really miss him "in my face" when I'm working in the kitchen.

Thanks for the RIP - glad my awful pun made your day.

Too bad about the Flames, they played one roaring good series. Next year.
