My Aquapod is still in the mail. How do you like yours so far?
I already own the 24 gal and the 12 gal is replacing the JBJ 12 gal Nano cube because I want separate light switches which the JBJ does not have.
Also the JBJ's cover (the front part of cover-flap) doesn't fit properly unless you help it a little. The Aquapod seems to be more solidly made (IMHO).

I have 2 Aquapod 12gals as of last week I bought one already cycled and running for a great price found out it was the recalled one from two years ago and promptly cut it's light cords and had it replaced with a new one at the LFS (score really 2 AP 12 gals for $60). I know what I'm doing with electrical wiring and I'm going to rewire the ballasts in the recalled tank so the shock hazard is not there anymore. Tank is stock except for the return nozzle is not directional it spins 360 degrees changing the current. Running foam and some carbon in it no bioballs or ceremic rings. I believe I will replace the pump with a Maxi Jet and put some live rock rubble in one of the chambers but probably not much else. Same thing with the second tank when I get it up and running later this week.

In fact can anyone tell me what that 360 degree swiveling return is on this tank? I'd like to get one for the other tank:

It looks like a Hydor Flo Deflecter. Its suppose to deflect the output of the return powerhead.

Yep that's it. Thanks! For $10 I'll definitely be putting on on the other tank.

ive got a 24 gal aquapod. I replaced the pump and put two maxijet 900s. one has a hydora agitator the other half inch locline with 125 spouts. i took out the filter crap, and only have a bag of chemipure. i also have stock lighting and you will need to replace the fans as i do for only around 6 bucks a piece you can get some killer ones to keep the temp great. i live in colorado so my concern is only the cold but i just crank up the heat a touch and everything is great. I have great flow reduced nitrates to zero and all other parameters are perfect. water is crystal. diatoms are all gone after a couple of months. no disease and i have sps lps and 4 fish with crabs snails anemone etc. what else are you hoping to do?
