| Well, October 9th, 2009 marked my fourth year of fish-keeping. I started four years ago... wow ! I have made so many mistakes and had so many 'fishy-funerals' but it seems so long ago, and yet like it was yesterday! These are all the fish I have ever kept in those 4 years, none of which are still living: 3 goldfish; named Shadow, Jimmy and Speckle. 1 dojo loach; named Squermer. 1 swordtail; named Warrior. (plus I have a swordie in my 20g right now )Numerous platies; none of which I can remember their names. 3 otos, named Oto, Sidney, and I forget the other one... Harlequin rasboras, none ever had names, one is still alive .A ton of neon tetras, most died within 2 or 3 days. The one survivor I named Maverick. I have no idea if Maverick is in my 20g right now, or if he died. Cardinal tetras, none had names. Not much of a list, and I have never bred any fish, I hope to start breeding some sort of livebearer this year (mollies?). I still consider myself an intermidate. Well, happy 'fish-kepping anniversary' to me

| You could try a true sailfin molly those ar really fascinating, especially in their courtship "dances"I say true sailfin, because most species like the dalmation molly, have quite long top fins, but they cant even compare with the incredibly tall fin of a true sailfin. I like the original green sailfins, and kinda dislike the white variety... :P both are cool tho. O and Congrads.

| You name your fish.. LOL.. The only fish I have named are the three Corydoras that I have in my tank right now-Larry, Moe and Curly, because they're clowns.. What a funny bunch to watch... The rest are just destined for the toilet at some point, so I don't get too attached.. Breeders are doing fish a great injustice.. I buy in lots of 6, or so, and the strongest survive, but usually 3 or so die off in days.. I've got three silver mollies now that were 3 of 6. They're two months old now, but three died off for some reason.. I've got one guppy left of 8 that I bought, but he's over two months old, so it's not my water... Gouramis are fine, Cories are fine, Pleco is fine, but when I buy in bulk there is always a die-off in days that I have to fish out of the water.. So I don't bother getting attached to them.. I'd like to start breeding myself if I could find a male and female that weren't related..

| Yeah I name my fish its funny though because if I don't name them, people will say something like, "how would you feel if you didn't have a name?" in sorta a joking way... pretty funny! I used to freak out if any of my fish died... pretty funny actually!!

| Oh and I was thinking maybe breeding guppies as a starter fish... maybe see if I can do some super-duper-fin variety
