| Rant about people... Why do people ignore stop signs?
Why do people tailgate?
Why do people throw their cigarettes out the window as if it's perfectly normal?
Why do people smoke around non-smokers and don't give a ... ?
Why do people not clean up their dog's poop in a public park where kids play?
Why do people talk on their cell phone while driving?
Why do people text on the freeway or in heavy traffic?
Why do people speed around corners they can't see around?
Why do people in cars in parking lots ignore pedestians?
Why do people park their motorcylces in illegal places because "it's not a car?"
Why do people leave their half-empty Burger King drinks sitting in the parking lot?
WHY DO PEOPLE LITTER?
People are stupid, and I admit I've been stupid myself...but haven't we learned anything? Why are there still people out there that think all of the above or some of it is ok? I just don't understand...
End of rant. It's not aimed at anyone here on MFT, but I've come across a lot of idiots lately, expecially since I'm driving now and have to rant at someone. You guys are my unfortunate victims.

| For the most part I don't think people are stupid... I think they are inconsiderate. When a person gets in their car it's as if they have retreated into their own kingdom, and no one else around them matters. That certainly isn't cool. Love your neighbor as you love yourself... right? A lot of problems are avoided just by doing that.
One thing though... I don't mind motorcycles parking in "creative" spots. It seems wasteful to take up a whole spot when there are other places it can sit.

But they always end up parking on specifically marked places that say "don't park here" because it's a fire lane or whatnot. It just bothers me because these people think it's ok and it ends up causing problems for others. But I get your point.

| First off where were they smoking around non smokers..my guess is since non smokers have made it illegal for people to smoke inside they were outside where they have been forced to go already. Yea I'm a smoker, there are plenty of places I dont smoke where its legal because of others around me, ballparks and etc. but I guess since I smoke I shouldnt have any rights either because heaven forbid that 2 secs a non smoker smells smoke it will kill them, but they will sit there idling in traffic breathing in the exhaust from their own car and others and not say a word.
Welcome to the REAL world.

The law for safe driving distance in most states is one car length for each 10 miles per hour in speed. If someone is less than 1 car length behind you, then go 10 MPH. Do not do that on a busy highway though. You can also turn your headlights on and off quickly to make it look as it you are constantly stepping on the brake causing the tailgater to step on his brake and back off.
Tailgating is very dangerous and most cars take 200-300 feet to stop from 60 MPH assuming dry pavement, good tires and no skidding. |

| Hahaha. Try living in Houston. There's a plethora of the annoyances you listed. Especially the ones involving traffic / driving.
I'll admit, I'm one of the people that texts while driving... Well, usually only when I'm at a red light, and it's a quick 1-2 word text. One you forgot to mention that annoys me a lot:
Why do people go ever so slow on the far left-lane on the highway?
Lol, like Brian said - Welcome to the real world - unless you plan on developing a Big Brother world, none of these problems will go away. |

Remember the 2 second rule!
I used to tailgate, and people always moved out of the way... I haven't really done it since I was rear-ended on the highway though. |

In reality the risk of tailgating is you rearend someone the plus is saves you gas mileage because it cuts down the drag on your car..we used to use semis to pull us down the highway in my younger days really dumb looking back..lol

I HATE slow drivers. Grow a pair, speed up 5 mph over and get around the person. Don't poke, don't drive slow.....
