Default BV News

Wife got a job offer in Florida a couple weeks ago, and we spent the better part of last week down there scoping the place out and whatnot. Long story short, she has decided to accept the position, and we plan on moving down there in December. This relocation should be relatively permanent for us, so it would seem that we can finally stop being nomads.

Sorry I've been such a stranger around here.

Well, I'm gonna begin trying to catch up with forum news here.
I may even post a bit about fish-related stuff before too long. Lots to report in that regard as well!

Good luck and congrats! Florida is a fairly nice place to live depending on where abouts you are haha. Hey at least you will be closer to all the big tropical fish importers.

Thanks guys!
We'll be moving to Gainesville, which is in north-central Florida.

Woah, Pure....where did you come from? Welcome back

So BV, when are you going to update us on your tank situation? You should know better than to just tease us like this

Pure...thanks for chiming in!
Looks like we'll be neighbors, eh? You'll have to point me in the direction of some decent fish stores. There's a guy I know from the bluecrayfish forum who lives in Ocala...he already mentioned one place in Gainesville, but I'm sure there oughta be more in the general vicinity that are worth the ~2-hour drive?

Don't be a stranger!

Thanks guys...this will be a good move for us.
I'm really excited to move down there! We've already got an apartment lined up for the first year or so. It's a nice townhouse/loft-style place...roomier than our current apartment.

Even though tankspace will still be somewhat limited, I will be able to expand my tank collection a little bit, because the next move will be a local thing...

Piece of cake, considering our past three moves will look a little something like this (taking the upcoming move into consideration as well):
1) Toronto, Canada to Moscow, Idaho = 2,400 miles
2) Moscow, Idaho to Omaha, Nebraska = 1,500 miles
3) Omaha, Nebraska to Gainesville, Florida = 1,300 miles

Let's just say it'll be a huge relief to just stay in one spot.
You'll be seeing a 6-8ft. New World cichlid tank thread in the near future, me thinks...hehe...
