|  My Personal Thought I think that a fish will be either mean or aggressive according to his tankmates when it was younger. I had a convict when I was younger. He was to small to go in with the oscars at the time so I decided what the heck and put him in my community tank. I thought it would kill everything in there but he was too small to do any damage to the fish. He was the sweetest thing when he got older. Never even bothered the other fish besides a little chase every now and then but never killed a fish. That's just my personal opinion. |

| Re: My Personal Thought I'm not sure if that's what causes the fish's personality but it may be a contributing factor. The fish itself may have been peaceful my nature but being with the peaceful fish may have had some influence. That's what I think. Maybe not the raising but the fish itself. But like I said I'm sure that had something to do with it. ;D

| Re: My Personal Thought I know i had a piranha in with some guppy's and they got along great.. this was because they were together since they were little and i fed him pellets  not all fish are mean
