Another site, I read about a company actually sueing some people for giving their opinions about another online site.

Yes..sued...going to court.

Somebody said something about sombodys product on a board..and getting sued for it.

Bunch of crap really. Like saying wal-mart sells crappy fish..then wal-mart sueing the person who said it. Didn't know if anyone here knew about it....but imagine the place sueing them...Like I want to shop there!!!

I think the lawsuit is filed by petswarehouse (not to be confused with petwarehouse) against some online fish enthusiasts concerning their products.  But I know that one our member here is being sued by the company for his opinion of their product.  Hope you luck with it dude.  You know who you are.

I haven't mentioned anything here because I didn't want to drag my problems into y'all's lives.  But I guess I have to state my position, partly to keep the rumor mill from making it into something it's not, and partly because my 1st amendment right to state my opinion is being threatened. Only one of us has actually been served papers at this point (there are definitely 6 of us so far, with a 7th possible in the wings), but there's always time for that.  We can't tell if he's just rattling sabers to get us to shut up, or if he's actually going to shoot himself in the foot and go after all of us. It's sad, really. I still stand by my statements, because I still see them as true (and they certainly haven't been proven otherwise).  I can't say more, because they can read this board just as easily as any of you, and I'd rather not provide them (or their legal team) intel.
They've threatened other folks on other boards who've mentioned their displeasure with this situation on other boards (remember my mention of the possible 7th?), so if you're going to post something about this be warned.  These guys love to strong arm and bully people.  I'd rather be the sole member of this particular community to be involved.  

But suffice it to say that y'all know someone who's embroiled in this.
I'll keep y'all updated if y'all so desire.

That's horrible scrimman. How can they do that by someone stating an opinion about their company? That's like saying McDonalds sued me because I told someone that I didn't like their fries. How can that really make sense? Stupid if you ask me. If the people are reading this I hope you realize how undecent your claims against this person are and how stupid this is. Companys sueing because they make bad products and are not pleasing people so those people decide to warn others about it. So ridiculous. This whole thing makes me extremely upset so I better stop before I say somthing that might get me in trouble. >

Scrimman I wish you, and the others involved, the best of luck with this. If you don't mind me asking was the psot on this board? And if so where is it? Also what company is it? If you feel this may get you in trouble with them then you don't have to tell however. Well the best of luck to you. 1st amendment rights! ;D

I'm really confues here. Barb I will email you then because as I stated I wouldn't want anymore post to get scrimman, or anyone else involved, in trouble. I still think this is ridiculous. Well... I was a moderator on their board for about 4 months; after over 1000 posts, I decided to leave for personal reasons.

And then I found this place.  (begin sucking up)  Here seems like a nice, quiet, relaxing place to chat about fish, which is the whole point of the Internet, not to sue people for whatever reason. (end sucking up)
