"Well, I'll post even though I'm not as frequent a visitor as I used to be... But I usually answer PM's - Tho I will say, I'm easily put off by those who can't be bothered to do a google search first."....AndyL... Guess that say's it all! I didn't get up one day and say I think i'll go buy 15 tanks and stock them with, of all fish cichlids. I have e mail address for experts all over the world that I have ask questions. My web www./ sites are numerous. Some people think these sites are bogus and some are! But I think one that has detailed info. on 2,600 dif. fish aint gogus. DR. Phill isn't always real nice but I still have my licence he does not LOL.. I dont like to see fish die or people so I can be a little rough at times.

| Ishar's Mentorability In these areas I rate my knowledge as: (score 1-5 and add notes) Plants: 3 (Most knowledge comes from research but I keep a planted tank with a variety of successes with a variety of plants) Aquascaping: 4 (Through research, gallery gazing, and my own tank I have gained a good experience with layouts but still lack plant matching experience) Livebearers: 3 (Have had male and female guppies and their fry in a community tank setting) Cichlids: 0 Bottom Feeders: 0 Gourami/Betta: 2 (I have had both a betta and a dwarf gourami but due to infections in my tank I failed to keep them for very long) DIY/Equipment: 2 (I’ve made a HOB filter outlet redirector and a DIY CO2 system and a simple background) Chemistry: 2 (A bit of knowledge in ways of water parameters, and some in ways of fertilizers) Saltwater: 0 Brackish: 0 Diseases: 3 (I have had ich, finrot, fungus, and the dreaded camellanus. Only ever treated for the ich and camellanus) "Critters": 3 (I have very successfully kept amano shrimp, but also had a flower shrimp (it jumped ship on me- unknown cause))
I love getting PMs so let me know if I can help. My main area of knowledge is in the planted tank area, with aquascaping being my forte. I am good with layouts through experience and research, but have knowledge of many plant types as well as some fertilizer experience. I lack the experience to know which plants look good with which though. Please PM me for any questions regarding the planted tank . If I don't know the answer I will do my best research to find out for you and me
