| I been keeping fish for about a year. I dont mind having pm's. My area of expertise I think would be in Livebearers. But I do have experience with Gourami's and Bettas. In these areas I rate my knowledge as a : (score 1-5 and add notes) Plants: 0 Livebearers: 4(I love Platies) Cichlids: 2(Had some Kenyi's) Bottom Feeders: 1(I didn't know there were so many) Gourami/Betta: 4(Bettas and Gouramis) DIY/Equipment: 2(Used an UGF for a 1g, and I tried to make a cave it failed miserably) Chemistry: 2(I am now cycling a tank) Saltwater: 0(want to start a tank) Brackish: 0 Diseases: 1(internal parasite) "Critters": 3(ghost shrimp that I bred, apple snails)

| I have been keeping fish since 2004 (I can't remember the month), but I joined the site a year later. I don't mind PM's. My area of expertise is probably bottom feeders and Gouramis/Bettas. But I'm always learning on this site. In these areas I rate my knowledge as a : (score 1-5 and add notes)
Plants: 1 (I'm just learning about plants still.) Livebearers: 3.5 (mostly guppies, platies, and swordtails. ) Chilids: 1.5 (I only had a ram but I did research on others.) Bottom Feeders: 4 (There awesome!) Gourami/Betta: 4 (I saved a couple bettas from disease, and love gouramis.) DIY/Equipment: 2 Chemisty: 3 Saltwater: 3 (Mostly Nano) Brackish: 0 (I want to have a brackish tank.) Diseases: 2 (Mainly ick and shock) "Critters": 3 (I love them!)

| ive been keeping fish for a while now, and welcom PMs. i hardly ever get any. and i dont really have a specialty, i dabbled in everything. In these areas I rate my knowledge as a : (score 1-5 and add notes)
Plants:1 i know a little, i know how photosynthesis works and all that fun stuff you have to learn in biology class, but hardly any real experience. Livebearers:3 i have kept them, and bred them succesfully. Cichlids:2 did some research on them while contemplating a cichlid tank, and have a special interest in lake tanganyika. Bottom Feeders:2 i know basics about the most commonly found species. Gourami/Betta:3 have kept many bettas both male and female, and read up on breeding. DIY/Equipment:3 i am in the middle of setting up a DIY sump, all would be successful but i need a return pump. i also built the stand my 10 gallon tank ans sump are on. i havent done anything with electricity though.
Chemistry:4 pretty darn good with the chemistry. i know how the nitrogen cycle works, how water temp affects things, and why a crash occurs. Saltwater:2 just started salt, but learning fast. Brackish:2 i know a little due to research while contemplating a puffer tank. Diseases:3 had personal experience with internal parasites, ich, popeye, fin rot, and have read about dropsey and fungus's "Critters":2 i have had a few critters. i have had ghost shrimp as a food source, and as pets, i have had apple snails, and bred snails for my dwarf puffers. also a few salt critters.

| I had fish tanks as a kid, and when in college. Since getting out of the Navy, I've now had fish tanks for approx. 2.5 years. Currently up to 6 tanks with over 120 fish total, and 2 empty tanks being set up for breeder tanks for GBR's. Also into fully planted tanks with pressurized CO2 and very high lighting (8w/g and above) In these areas I rate my knowledge as a : (score 1-5 and add notes) Plants: 4 (I have a heavily planted 75G and a medium planted 29G, lightly planted 26G bowfront, also medium and high lighting experience, not real good at naming plants from a pic, but can grow just about anything) Livebearers: 0 (I have no interest) Cichlids: 4 (Dwarf Cichlids only, Breeding German Blue Rams and Bolivian Rams) Bottom Feeders: 3 (Otos and Cories, BN Plecos, Common Plecos, Fire Eels) Gourami/Betta: 0 DIY/Equipment: 2 (DIY CO2 setups for planted tanks) Chemistry: 4 (Cycling tanks, ferts for planted tanks, Natural ph adjusting via peat, driftwood, crushed coral, limestone, etc. Also Pressurized CO2 setups for Planted Tanks) Saltwater: 0 Brackish: 0 Diseases: 2 (ick, popeye, and a few others) "Critters": 0

| I can help with stocking smaller tanks, I see a lot of people tend to overstock them and not realize it. I also have a Green Spotted Puffer, he's my baby, and because of him I've learned a ton about puffers in general.
I have a brackish tank, so I could help with set up and maintenance of one.
I also have experience dealing with Walmart, and rescuing fish from them. So if you see a fish you'd like to rescue without supporting the store, feel free to ask about that too.
I'd also consider myself an expert on Betta Plants: 1 (I've been looking into getting a planted tank too) Livebearers: 2 (common guppies) Cichlids: 0 Bottom Feeders: 0 (I don't use any bottom feeders or plecos. They do more harm than good to a tank) Gourami/Betta: 4 Male & 2 Female Betta. (I'm currently taking a first attempt at breeding them) DIY/Equipment: 0 Chemistry: I have about 8 different test kits. and I test twice a week. Saltwater: 0, for now Brackish: 1 Green Spotted Puffer Diseases: I've successfully treated finrot, ich, bloating, various fungus, open wounds, and internal parasites (I do a lot of fish rescues, so I usually get guys in bad shape) "Critters": Ghost shrimp, clams, and snails (all for feeder purposes, so I'm no expert on these) |
