A strange mix of stuff: alternative rock ('90s stuff, not what passes for "alternative" now), new wave, jazz, classical, and little-known rock bands like VAST

I'm new to fishkeeping but I find it to be quite interesting (and time-consuming); I also love reading, camping, hiking (it's nice living so close to the Grand Canyon!), and driving around Phoenix.

I always thought it was cool that Louis XIV called himself the "sun king" so I came up with a similar name.

Well! MFT has certainly changed alot since I've been here! Looks nice..

I've recently become a work-a-holic, but if I tell you what I do I'd have to kill you, . And also to the GREAT thanks of the American Tax Return, I've been able to get new and exciting things for my fishtanks.

Okay, check this out.. how cool is it to find a 4 bulb power compact light fixture in the hood of a tiiiiny 2.5 gallon? Well I lucked out, and also $45 bucks lighter but at least I have a good start to a great nano tank. *phew*

Did you know that sometimes 'nano' tanks that are smaller than 2 gallons are called 'pico' tanks? I don't even know why anyone would even bother with something less than a gallon, but horrah to anyone who tries.

Fishie Updates:

The Dwarf Gouramies are still alive and kickin', there's been alot of flirting but no nests yet. Umm, Plec* is starting to come out into the open and to chew on thawed peas.

I lost a Tetra, it was found wedged between my glass cleaner and the thermometer. The cool eel I had decided to flop on the floor one night and wiggled its way to the middle of the living room to die... THAT was not fun.

The Molly that I had let in the main tank from my Q'tine tank was quite happy when I found my algae wafers and wrassled with the Gouramis over them. OH! Yeah.. and I have a TON of snails! I've been siphioning of the babies and leaving the large ones to get big so I can just keep the one I like.

I'm going to be starting alot of new little tanks here soon. With the current cashflow as it is for me, I'll be able to get all sorts of toys that will help me get into the hobby a little bit better.

But I just wanted to say 'Heddo', and I haven't stopped by this board in awhile. Keep up the good work!

any! My first concert was Metallica and my second Jimmy Buffet. I am a little partial to Country, but require the heavy metal release while traveling 100mph atleast once a month (nurses can do without getting in trouble!)

Read, keep tank, beat the kids (j/k), My 2y/o would live outside if he had it his way, outings and anything in the sun is right with me, gardening a favorite, and home improvements. I love the cost of effective DIY projects. I am an avid white water rafter, when I get time away from the kids.

Ever heard of Kim Stanley Robinson? Great author. Kuroshio is a current from the Black River that travels the great seas in a circle before returning home, if you are caught in it you can only hope to someday be brought back to your origin, just sit back and enjoy the ride!
