Default Got some new guppies

Today I was at my lfs to but a few guppies for my new 20 gallon tank, I was planning on getting 2 females and a male for now, I got the 2 females, but when I was looking in the male guppy tank, I noticed one of the male was smaller than the rest, and the other males were bullying him around, nipping his fins, he doesnt have much of a tail left, so I decided to buy him, and put him in my hospital tank to see if I could restore him to full health, then maybe grow up to be a father of my other females babies, hope he lives

When I saw him I felt so sorry for the little guy, so I had to get him before he died.....

i usually pick fish by personality, but i get the guilt trip every time i see a fish getting picked on by others. sometimes the fish is too tramatized from being picked on and dies. but i hope your guppy pulls through, hell be a happy little sucker!

I know its hard but for future reference you should avoid the poor health fish. In the end it only costs you money. As they rarely live.

good for u for resucing the fish. it woul dbe agood idea to raise the temp a bit as it helps there motabalism while hes healing. add some salt to the tank as well in case he already has a slight infection. other then that his tail will grow completly back. i had a neon and a lemon tetra whose tail had been completly bitten off and they both have now fully regrown their tails.
