Question Breeding

I read earlier today that an expierenced guppy breeder can sex fry @ five days.

Does that even sound believable?

I've never seen fry grow that fast.

Any thoughts?

Actually, when my first female guppy had babies I was able to sex them--they grew up and, as it turns out, i was right! Maybe it was a lucky guess...

I can usually see the females gravid spot at about a week or 2, depending on the size of the baby, and I dont know what i'm doing I would think that 5 days is possible though.

5 days may be possible for an experience breeder as they are darker according to their sex. i dont think many others would be able to tell that fast thoug

Males have more color in them than females. females also have a gravid spot. some people use a magnify glass to sex them.

For me, all my female babies had a dark black dot on their tails and the mails had a nice clear tail.
