Talking Ive got guppy fry!

I cam home today from a wedding shower and looked in my 10gallon tank and saw a tiny little fishie swimming right above the thermometer! I knew my guppy was pregnant but I did not know when she would poop them out. I just bought 2 more male guppies (now i have a total of 4 male guppies) and 1 male mollie and 1 female mollie. So, I turned my back and then my son says, "Frankenstein (one of my male guppies) just ate that baby fishie!" So, I saw some more swimming around but then I turned around and they were gone too! So, I got my 1 gallon tank and put some of hte water from my 10 gallon in there and was able to save 2 of the fry! I put them in the 1 gallon.. Was this a good idea? Will they do ok in the 1 gallon? Or what should i have done? The mama still looks kinda fat but i dont know how long they poop those babies out. She was hiding under this rock i have in the tank but she is not in there anymore and all my males are harassing the crap outa her!

I'm gaining experience with my prolific molly. On my second batch of fry and just got about 45! I keep them in a fry net that hangs on the side of the tank, costs about $5 at the pet store. Feed them tiny flakes or live bearer fry liquid drops. Keep them in a spot with some water flow. I try to net as many as I can find so the fishes don't eat them. My molly popped two to four out every other day for about a week. I did a water change, added a tch of salt and the next morning there was a TON of fry. Info boards will say to keep up with the water changes to promote birthing. Hope that helps.

I have too many baby gups (about 70) at last count. The first batch are about 2 1/2-3 months old. Every weekend it seems I have new babies in one tank or another.
Oh!, you might want to think about getting a few more female gups, or your males might harrass her too much.

that good to remove the babies from the 10 gallon, unless u dont want any fry. how many males females do u have? u should have at least 3 females for every male, otherwise the females will be harrassed, which seems to be your case.
