Default grumpy guppy

I've got 1 male and 4 female guppies in a 30G tank. This morning the male guppy was staying at the surface against the edge of the tank, and only nibbled at food a little. What's up with him? Water quality is very good and other fish are fine.

Is he showing any kind of symptoms? I.E: fins clamped, rubbing against rocks and other objects, or any physical abnormality?

No. Just sits there. Today when I turned the light on, I saw him swimming normally, but he is now repeating yesterday's abnormal behavior.

Just noticed that his poo is clear and thin. Is this a problem? I haven't seen it before. I also noticed a split in his fin. Don't know what. The rams are generally very peaceful Sometimes he swims normally, but often returns to the surface and remains pretty still.

Another guppy died. I'm away from home. I only heard the news, so I didn't get to observe any symptoms.
