Possibly, they could be old or not used to my water? I got them from a friend whos tank was dirty as in not cycled ever in every 5 months and has about 50 guppies and wanted to give them away, but he had no idea how old they were, are they maybe not used to by cycled tank?

ah sorry- no one replied ot you :S

Um I don't think that could be it. There is no 'getting used to' and uncycled tank, especially not to the point of preferring it over a cycled one. In comparison that would be like a person drinking dirty water with contaminates in it, and then getting a glass of clean water. They aren't going just get over whatever is in the water and then get sick when normal stuff is drunk, you know what I mean?

How is the situation now? How is everything doing?

They are all gone now. except for a female I got from the store and a male. And my tank is 100 % cycled too. All I have left in my tank now is 2 guppies, 15 baby guppies and about 10 platys.

When you say 10 platys, do you mean fry or adults? If they're adults...then that's way overstocked! Sorry about your losses though...

Well about 7 are adults, the 3 are baby or about the same size as the guppies.
