| I read that they can have up to 100 fry! Monthly!! Of course this could vary, she might only have a dozen or less. If you want to raise them all they arnt hard. Just set up a seperate tank for them and they will eat crushed up flake food. You can always try to take some to the LFS when they are big enough.

| You could try a tank divider. They sell them at most fish stores or chain pet stores. |

| I've got a 20G and a 10G with livebearers...I've since given up on trying to save all the babies...and I think most of the grown-ups have given up on eating them...either that, or I'm breeding really smart fish ;-)
I've got the tank planted with some Wisteria and something else that I'm not sure what it's called, but it's tall, skinny, green and red...the babies all hide out in there and I think I've got somewhere around 60 or so babies in both tanks at the moment...whoever grows big enough will get sold to my LFS...he doesn't pay much, but the store credit comes in handy if I let it build up!
Good luck!!

| I bought this breeding mesh "cage" thing to hold her with her babies, some people I know want some fish so I think I'll give most of the babies away. In the meantime I'm really worried about my momma fish..she's acting EXTREMELY out of character the past few days, hardly eating, stays in a corer or hides in this rock thats in the tank....I feel bad, what can I do to perk her up?She's gettin fatter everyday, I'm thinking I might but her in the mesh thing soon...yes, no?

| Fish catching can be tricky I think it is a bit of a learned skill through personal experiance. She shouldn't be to hard, try scooping her from underneath after you get her near the glass.
