Default Construction Begins on 5,000,000G. Aquarium

Construction began on the 5 million gallon Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta this month. An artist rendering of the exterior is now available along with some specs. Not much else has been released to the public as of yet.

Georgia Aquarium

Public aquariums are awesome IMO.

Many consider the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago to be the world's largest indoor aquarium. I am not sure if this is based on square footage or gallons of water.

The Tennessee Aquarium is the world's largest freshwater aquarium.

Click here for a list of some of the world's largest public aquariums.

dude in this you could put:

1250000 gouramis
or
2500000 guppies
or
104167 arrowannas
or
416667 oscars
or
347222 great whites
or
625000 gouramis and 1666670 tetras
or
3333333 corys
or
500000 angels,100000 danios, and 35714 loaches
or
1 male betta and 4999997 neons
or
1666670 parakeets!

the possibilities are endless

(this is all according to the 1 inch/gal rule of couse, you'd have to take in the territorial issues of each fish)

I've been to the shedd aquarium in chicago. It's amazing. If you are ever in the area, it's a must.

Well that seems like it will be 5 million gallons total. What I'd really like to see is a 5 million gallon tank. Though, I guess I could just head over to the shore for that, eh?
