Default Bottled Betta Water

The first time I saw this product, I really thought it was an April Fool's joke:

Check it out!

Can you believe they are selling 16 ounce bottled water for five bucks? Can you believe people are buying it? Or is it that I'm just a cheapskate?

I have seen that in Petco before. I always wondered if anyone buys it. I guess it doesn't really help that they are on the shelf next to the "betta prisons." Any idea if it's mineral water, RO water or tapwater? Whatever it is, it's overpriced.

Per the link:

Ingredients
De-chlorinated re-mineralized water purified by dual micro filtration, carbon adsorption, and reverse osmosis filtration.

Near as I can tell, it's just way overpriced bottled water. But I've never tasted it to be sure.

The link also says this:

Notice: Not designed for human consumption.

I just don't get it

Yep, sounds like RO water. What a ripoff!

Not "designed" for human consumption. I guess that doesn't mean you can't drink it.

Then again, if you told people 20 years ago they would pay $1 or $2 for a bottle of drinking water, they would have laughed at you.
