| school of killi?...... i was wondering if it was possible to keep a small group of killifish in a 50gal tank....i was going to buy some killi eggs and hatch them...the species i wanted to get is the Rachovii
also can they live with a pair of ram cichlids?

| dont they have to undergo a period of a "dry" spell like most killifish? perhaps you could wait for another spawn and if nothing happens dry the eggs...im not really sure...the eggs that i have thought of getting would be shipped to me and i would add water...
i would look up on how this species breeds...from what i hear they are very easy to breed so just make sure you have the basics for them

| I'm sorry I missed this post...Anyhow, if anyone is still checking, a "school" of killis will NOT work. Killis are not schooling fish, they are "one to a tank" type of fish, and usually only in species only tanks. I keep my killis one pair to a tank. A good place to start killi knowledge is American Killifish Association - Content.
If you don't know what you're doing, it can be difficult to hatch and raise killis from eggs. The fry are almost microscopic when hatched and very picky eaters. They are also extremely sensitive to water conditions.
