Default Fear the Flagfish!

I was feeding my eel last night, which requires me to put a portion of my hand in the tank, and all of a sudden, my trio of Flagfish starting biting me! I've had them for a little over a month now, and I feed my eel every night, yet it was until yesterday that they decided my hand was their mortal enemy and had to be defeated. They've turned evil I tell you!

Has anyone else ever had their Killi, or other fish, 'turn' on them?

Lol...did you go to the ER?

Never had killies, but my angelfish sure like to nip at my arm hair whenever I'm doing tank maintenance that involves sticking my hand down to the bottom of the tank. It 'sort of' hurts...just a teenie weenie bit...

my betta will bite my finger when i put my finger in the tank. If i hold my finger out of water about an inch with some food on, he will jump right out and get it!

I've had livebearers and paradise fish nip my fingers and arm, but it never hurt. Actually I thought it kind of tickled. I think of it as a sign that they're not afraid of their owner.

my puffer bites my hand when i work on the tank or feed him. surprisingly, it doesn't hurt, although i've never let him take a straight-on chomp. my moray on the other hand, i definately feed him with a feeding stick, eek.

LOL, PC!!!

The best story I ever heard about trops "attacking" someone was one of my crazy fish gurus who went on a collection trip in South America once and jumped in a small lake to cool off only to have jumped into the midst of a HUGE shoal of Buenos Aires tetras, all of whom decided his leg hairs were edible...... Yikes!

Just today actually, I was doing a waterchange on the 5gal, and my shrimp was reaching out of the water trying to pinch me while defending his little "territory" i found it really funny

LOL that's great! xD
That reminded me of the crazy Congo Tetra that flew out at me when I was cleaning the fish tanks at work one evening. Projectile fish!

lmfao, I used to change the water on my friends 20 gallon SW and his cleaning and bloodshrimp would both constantly pinch me when my hands were in the tank, made me jump the first several times they did it to me.
