| Are they mean? I see that all Killifish are carnivores, now being a pretty small fish would I have to worry at all about them attacking my others? I know they are a peacefull fish so attacking would be an issue but fin nipping? |

| Another thing is they have extremely large mouths. I had one that ate a full size female Guppy. So don't keep them with anything too small. I had the Golden Wonder Killie and never noticed them being aggressive to other fish in the sense of nipping, but they were a bit aggressive to each other.

| Ok so I'll just stay away from the Killie. I'm in the process of researching a bunch of fish, I have a 55 gallon on the way and I'm coming up with a stocking plan. Thanks for your help. |

| There are an awful lot of killies, so don't rule them out on the basis of behavior of one. I've kept a few types of killies and the most aggressive I have had to date (Jordanella floridae) is a ~little~ territorial and is no danger to the Danio chopri and Endlers it shares a tank with.

| Just a warning, but i had two killies jump on me, so you will need to have a good fitting cover, and pay attention when feeding, thats how i lost mine, fed them, left the cover in the process, phone rang in the process, 15 second call, closed the lid and left. So they may jump at any given chance, no problems with aggression tho. good looking too

| I just bought two Golden Wonder killifish last week and have had no aggression problems with my other community fish, even the small neons. Hope this continues 'cuz I love them already. I noticed they would not get out of my way during a water change yesterday so I gently reached down and rubbed their backs, and they let me! They also nibble on food right out of my hand. Is this usual? I am a new "fish parent". |
