Pupfish

They're an endangered species. Does/has anyone kept them despite? I recently made a trip to Salton City and was able to see some of these in their natural habitat as well as a few in an exhibit somewhere in the desert. Are they available as aquarium fish? Probably sounds like a dumb question, I know but it's worth a try. I don't have a problem finding Astatotilapia latifasciata despite the fact that it's nearly extinct the wild. So maybe there's a chance? Thanks in advance.
