Post Aw man. Both my Killi's are dead

The female was getting old, and she passed on. I had been wondering where she was. Yesterday was water change time, and I found her rotted little body way in the back behind some plants. The male died yesterday, either from heartbreak or because her dead body polluted the little 5.5g aquarium. I had owned them for about 2.5 years.

A moment of silence pleaze.

Yes, quite a few times, but I never was able to keep the fry alive. They didn't like to get weaned off of suspension food for some reason. Here is a pic of one of their illegetimate children:

Sorry to hear of your loses dude. that really sucks. But look at it this way on the postive side. You got 2.5 years out of them! Most of the time they will not live for much more then a year. Those look to be the gardneri species, am i correct? ???

Post Re: Aw man. Both my Killi's are dead

*shrug* I don't know that much about the various Killi species. The guy I bought it from (who was quite the nut, had like 75 tanks in his basement Killi breeding operation) called it an Akuri yellow. When I said "but it's blue" he said it was referring to the yellow tips on the fins of the male, however I looked at quite a few gardneri pix on the net and didn't see anything different about mine... *shrug* it was probably just a normal gardneri.
