|  I just bred the villain fish.....American flag!!! So ....the usual...what do you have in today..with the LFs.and I spotted some small fish, they looked like sunfish, but closer observation showed american flags. Pet store owner said that he didn't know what they were and that they had been in for a long time......till he sold them for 3.00 each...one died 1 week after purchase..and that left me with one male and one(used to be two)female. Now they laid eggs and small fry are laying on the bottom of a one gallon tank. Some of the eggs havent hatched yet....what do I do when they become free swimming? The adult male and female are in a ten gallon tank, chasing each other and stuff......and being shy. |

| Re: I just bred the villain fish.....American flag Siphon the fry out (alt: relocate the parents). Feed the fry with infusoria (you can make / DIY) or suspension food (store bought). Keep up on frequent, mini-water changes.

| Re: I just bred the villain fish.....American flag AccccKK!!! The pair justy layed 50 more eggs, which are sitting inside of a cream cheese container until I find a better place to put them. Only had several of the fry die,now they are taking crushed flakes. I wonder if they would eat frozen baby brine shrimp...? Inavasion!!! LOL |

| Re: I just bred the villain fish.....American flag My digital camera is conked out right now and the batteries are recharging, the bigger fry MIGHT make a form in the pic, but the smaller ones are the size of baby guppies. The adults would make nice subjects however. |

| Re: I just bred the villain fish.....American flag The babies outside just died out for some unknown reason, but I occasionally see large babies in the main tank. I took a pic of my male american falg with the digi cam, the female ran and hid in the corner, and didn't workout with the camera. I just have to hope the adults don't eat them, i've heard killifish wont eat fry as long as they are well fed.... |

| Re: I just bred the villain fish.....American flag I have no idea, first I have to find out if I can raise them, then I will....some how get rid of them.......to many babies for my tastes. Petshop? But it seems that no one is getting bigger than a certain size, so maybe they are getting eatin. |
