| which kind? lol, or should i say, which part of africa? cause there are MANY different colors of Gardneri's. red ones, blueish ones, yellow ones, etc. well, whatever the color, they ALL look great and are great beginner killies!

| I'm not sure what flavor of Gardneri...I also ordered them from Arziona Aquatics.
Right now, they're really small... mostly pale, but with red and blue stippling on the fins. I'll let you know as they get bigger how the colors are shaping up. |

| Oh...theeyrietrainer.... I wanted to ask you...
I've never heard of Blue Jay or Raptor Tetras. Can you tell me a bit about them, and/or post pics?
I also noticed you had pygmy corydoras...I just got a school. They are the GREATEST! |

| awesome! hope they turn out great! purple and yellow gardneri are the rarest of colors as red is the most common and blue is just uncommon.
well, i dont have any pictures of them cause i had them like a few years ago, but i think there color dyed. there very common here, there just white skirt tetras in color dye i think. http://fins.actwin.com/fresh-pics/white_skirt_tetra.jpg
in the picture, the bottom 2 seem to have a bluish tone, imagine a much more solid blue on it. the raptor tetra is like the one at the top. much more pink on it
yeah i agree with you about he pygmy corydoras. i was wanting them, then i went to my favourite fish store and they just gotten a fresh shipment of them! it was like, perfect! they still have pygmies there though, but ive been gettting them and now i have 8 of them and they swim in a tight school.

| They are great. I kept a pair in a large 16 inch fishbowl in my sons room, just a heater, with javamoss for filtration. I put a pair in, when we moved I broke the tank down and found nine, and I don't know how many I've pulled out in the past. Nice fish, more behaviour than you'd imagine too. Mine are about 2 now, and the female looks really, really old, but they press on. Only problem is, they're getting a bit inbred so a lot of fry have deformities, so I don't like to sell them |

| maybe you should add some new blood to it. or just keep the original pair or with another male that is not related. that way, inbreeding will not occur. well, i hope your gardneri turn out great!
