Hi all, Yes I got sucked back into the Aquarium world. Back in the day I had Oscars, kept one for 12 years...So I now have Dwarf Chiclids, 2 German blue, 2 gold head, and 3 jade green barbs and one dwarf pike in a 36 gallon bow front. Natural gravel with soil and live plants.I change 35% of the water weekly PH 7.2. temp was 79. Had a Red Serverum in the mix [ only 2 inches]but lost him to Ich.I did seperate him but he was covered in no time. I am now treating tank with salt at 85 degrees because im super worried of an out break. All was fine until I brought home new plants 2 weeks ago...but there was one fish in tank where I got live plants from, thinking that was the culprit. stupid mistake on my part. How often when treating for Ich in a situation like this should I change the water? how long? Hope my fin family does not get this.
