I just recently got my first tank! Its a 10 g with a 100 gph filter on it, a heater, thermometer, 4 live plants, a few fake ones, about an inch of gravel, and 2 medium sized decorations. I cycled it and currently i have:

2 dwarf gourami
4 neon tetras
3 red eye tetras
4 snails
And a pleco

I tested my water and the ph is a 6.5, 0 nitrites/nitrates, gh is a 40, and the temp is right around 79 degrees.

Am i doing anything wrong? Ive researched online some, just hoping for some tips and guidance!

Hi Christina,
The Gouramis are 3 spot Gouramis, not Dwarf. They can get to 6". The pleco would be unsuitable for the small tank also, both size wise and bioload wise. I wouldn't panic about it at the moment but in a few weeks I would trade those and get some actual Dwarf Gouramis and I would also trade the red eye Tetras and get 2 more neons. Just keep doing 30% weekly water changes and make sure the water you put in is as warm as the water in the tank and you should be fine.
