| Win A MFT Tshirt Contest! Hello!
We've finally hit another milestone today. 500,000 posts since we started. I'd like to thank everyone for all their participation and making MFT into what it is today. Without you guys, there wouldn't be this cool contest. haha. I kid I kid. I just wanted to do this contest to thank everyone again and hope you really do enjoy MFT.
So how do you get to win the first ever MFT tshirt ever given out? It's simple.
All i ask is for you to reply to one of my questions below.
1. Make at least ONE suggestion/recommendation on what you like to see or improve on MFT.
or
2.What do you like about MFT that makes you come back everyday and how often do you visit MFT. Or even how did you find MFT if you can remember would be cool to know.
that's it. simple isn't it?
Suggestions/Recommendations that won't work are...example..Johnny, please get more hot fish girls to come here and then i would respond with "all the hot ones are here already" so that kind of suggestion wouldn't work.
however suggestions like "please redo the profiles" or "i'd like to see "something" section to be included on MFT" and such are acceptable.
You can respond more than once if something comes to mind later but I'll only count one post as an entry. Anyone can enter. It doesn't matter if you have 1 post or 5,000 posts.
This contest will end on May 31st, 2008. |

| Well I can say that I love the way the site is run and set up. Its very easy to navigate and unlike other forums there aren't staff or mods hounding you about your posts or you sig or what have you. Things are monitored and you guys only butt in when need be. I really like that its not so over powering on here.
As far as changing anything or making anything better, the only thing that comes to mind are the profiles. They need to be updated and added to. And when you click on a page number you are automatically directed to the first page.

| I love MFT because the people here are great. They have great information, and when you just need to vent, or you need someone to say "It'll be okay", there will always be someone.
Also, when you do one little thing wrong, the mods and staff won't jump on you for it like some other threads.
And, I even remember how I found MFT. I was searching the web 'cause I was getting my 20 gallon tank, and I had no clue whats-so-ever about how to keep a fish tank. I searched Google for "Cycling a Fish Tank", and I got a link to someones post on MFT. I read a few posts, and BAM, I had to become a member.
Like FishGeek said, someone should really fix the profiles. Updates are needed, and the link bug needs to be fixed.

| Well, for suggestions, I've already given a lot BUT on www.thepufferforum.com there is a feature that lets you write your puffers so it appears below your user name on the left when you post. Instead of having to cram all of it into your sig, maybe you could make it so the tanks and inhabitants would appear in the section to the left of the post. Get it? That would save some sig space.
I started my fish hobby because we weren't allowed to get any more cats. I thought fish were pretty dumb until I came here. And of course I only started breeding cories after a bunch of people urged me to do it. This is one of the friendliest, most helpful forums I have encountered. There's always someone on here that can help with emergencies. Plus there's a lot of people who are here almost everyday and you can actually have conversations with them. I don't have very many friends here in Phoenix so this is like my social life right here! Wacko! The point is, if I hadn't come across this site and become a member, I wouldn't have MTS (3 tanks), own a puffer (who would have thought of getting that?), or be breeding anything at all (successfully raised cories, had a baby ghost shrimp, and am attempting to raise swordtails again.) This site has made me become addicted to fish.
Edit: Also, if you accidentally click twice while doing a search, it requires you to wait 30 seconds. Why?
Edit2: I also can't find peoples hobbies/interests and biographies anymore after the update. Where'd they go?

| We're just one big happy family that keeps growing. that's what's great about the place.
My only suggestion for updates is the profiles. Make it a little more "meatier," and add information about inverts.

| A large reason for coming on MFT is just to see whats going on. Maybe I just what to see the progress on a certain thread. I'm normally on about 4-5 times a day.

| New to site Hey everyone,
I am new to this site but am already impressed by reading the responses from others here. I used to have a 100 gallon cicchlid tank that sprung a leak, was converted to a terrarium (I then discovered that I did not really like terrariums so I gave it away to a interested 12 yr old who took great care of it). I then had two kids so no time for fish but thankfully my oldest (now three) has expressed a great interest in fish. I just got him his 7 gallon tank but am missing my own tank so am starting to get back into it (soon I will go and buy a tank - sad thing is that when I had the 100 gal tank people would give me their old tanks that I would forward to others to set up the hobby - too bad I dont konw anyone now since I moved)...
I found this site because I was lookign for information on the rubber mouth pleco that I had just bought, and that promptly dissappeared. apparently pretty normal thankfully - I was frantically looking through the garbage to see if he got stuck in the bag or something...
There are two things that would be great on this site - just general musing...
1) A link to facebook (I am addicted to that timewaster - but it is great to find things).
2) (this might already be here - I may not have found it yet) A section where you can find people in your neighbourhood to share stories, plants, fish and perhaps a few drinks with.
Anyway - thanks everyone and keep up the great help... |

| I love this site and frequent it everday more than once (sometimes even at work!).
Here's my suggestion: how about a section to actually purchase these T-shirts and maybe some other gear? I'd like to buy one (if I don't win one of course!), but I don't see them for sale anywhere.

| I agree with Airborne. It would also be nice to buy the shirts, if possible.
I visit everyday during the week, haha I have a very boring job and I check into MFT as much as possible. Though you will see my rating is still very low, but I very much enjoy reading other people's threads and everyone responses, and I have learned a lot!
I have no other suggestions... this place is great!
