Here's my suggestion: how about a section to actually purchase these T-shirts and maybe some other gear? I'd like to buy one (if I don't win one of course!), but I don't see them for sale anywhere.
There's a CafePress site for myfishtank but it doesn't have this particular shirt. I'd probably buy it too if it was there.

I found this forum on Google I think, and ever since I found it I have come back more than once a day. What keeps me coming back is that fact that everyone here is so easy going and friendly to one another. If I can learn from people in a friendly environment, and if possible be the helper here and there, then isn't that a great thing? Well I thought so, and hence why I stick around at MFT!!

How about a section for each member to put more info about their tank/tanks? It'd be like a separate page to go to and have a pic of your tank with a little info about the kit used, regimen and inhabitants.

I'd also like to see a few more emoticons on the list. I could look for a few fishy ones if you want.

kidding!

I don't remember the exact information I was looking for, but it was though the mighty google. I think it might have been on my first attempt on a planted tank. I had already read some other fish forums, and when I found this one I was blown away by how friendly everyone was to people who didn't have a clue (like me).

And like some of the others have mentiond, I always liked the fact that there wasn't a bunch of over bearing moderator staff running around the place telling people what to do. Back in the day there was just Arcab, and the mysterious "ModeratorFish". And I really hope that for the most part that the staff today still isn't over bearing or pushy and people feel that they can do what they want to (with in reason of course ) without fear of some retribution. I've seen forums, both fish and other, where it feels like people are scared to say anything negative about the site or anyone else, or even anything that might not be thought of to be 'normal' conversation material.

I think it's things that everyone has mentioned in this thread that has made MFT so great throughout the years.

i think mft.net is an awesome site for anyone from beginners to experienced fishkeepers. if you need help for something like ick or a complicated disease the people on here are nice and will always reply with a direct answer or a place you can find an answer. the site is easy to navigate and that makes it better to give help and recieve help. the divided sections are handy in keeping different topics seperate. on this site you can have debates about different things and even mft staff will talk to you like you are actually a person compared to many other places, you are not judged by how many posts you have or how long you have been on the site. i visit when i have free time and i like to help people. as do othe mft'ers and i will sometimes have a problem that there will always be an answer to.

The way i found the site was through google. i was searching for a fish tank forum to get help on a disease and mft.net popped up. the peaople were great and i liked the site.

The site is very good and i will never get bored of it.
Thanks to all MFT'ers And Staff.

Dan.

2.What do you like about MFT that makes you come back everyday and how often do you visit MFT.

Only been a member for about 6 weeks. I have had fish off and on for the last 20 years. I have learned More than I could have ever imagined from all the Posts at MFT. And not just the things I'm interested in, either. I visit at LEAST once a day, just because someone always has a story to tell, or an experience to share that will have some kind of value for knowlegde down the road.

For the Record: I think Kissyboots suggestion of getting all the "Tank Info" on the Left Hand side under everyone's Name and Avitar is a Great Suggestion!!!

How I found MFT:

Simple enough. Google. A Couple Months ago, I was looking for information on 2 things. I had a Pregnant Swordtail, and had NO CLUE what to do. And the other was what to do with an empty 125. Thanks to MFT, I have 1 Happy Baby Swordtail, and a Bunch of Happy Fish and Plants in the 125!!!
