|  site update and other stuff. please read. Hello, I've received a comment about the banner at the top of the site. it was more directed toward the clicking sound heard every 30seconds. i was wondering if anyone found it annoying in any way. the reason why it makes the clicking sound is because it swaps out banners. what i was "hoping" was to find companies that would be interested in showing their banners on the site (therefore helping pay for the site) but we're not just there yet. so until then, i can turn off the banner rotation. what do you guys think? anyways, i just wanted to thank you all for the helpful advice and keeping this forum a nice place. although the updates have slowed a bit (i still have alot to catch up on, so those who have submitted toptanks, profiles etc, i'm sorry!!) i still check the site everyday. i'm still here to listen to any suggestions to improve the site (i.e. the banner thingie). so feel free to send any comments, suggestions, or criticism my way. the site is slowly but surely growing as you can see from our movement up the fish top50. and in regards to the lack of member movement in this forum, i really don't have an answer to that. but i rather have a few QUALITY members rather than alot of members that don't participate. thank you very much, Johnny |

| Re: site update and other stuff. please read. That clicking sound should only happen with IE, if you use Netscape, it shouldn't be a problem. If a little click every 30 seconds is the price I have to pay for another great fish BB, then I'm all for it. Josh

| Re: site update and other stuff. please read. I don't find that little clicking noise to be annoying at all. If you just turn the volume down you can't hear it anyways so if that helps whoever is bothered by it. Anyways yeah I like the good members over the many. ;D

| Re: site update and other stuff. please read. i hear no click and i use IE but im on a mac <grin> im sorry to hear that you are having trpouble finding a paid sponsor... have you approached any fishstore on the web or even on ebay? i dont mind the banner i maybe you could put free public service announcements on it until you get a sponsor yes better to have a few quality members then a buncha crappy ones |
