Post Poorly Fish heading?

Hi All

I think it would be a good idea if we had a Fish in need type heading for a discussion group. This way people would know it was an urgent post from someone who needs help fast? Mysterious ilnesses etc.
Im sure that this has probably been suggested before?
Thanks

That does sound like a good idea. Maybe it would cut down on all the repeat posting of "emergency ich" panic. That way, when a person went into the Disease topic to make a post, they could see already the 500 threads about ich, and read the information from there.  Then folk wouldn't be repeating the same stuff over and over again, and maybe it would cut down on some of the traffic (which I think might be a good thing for computers, but I dunno) on the server, which would make the server run faster. Right?

I like the idea, I know that when I first visited here (December 2001) I just put up a post asking a stupid question.  I really didn't even know what to ask...

If people searched the site before creating a panic post - it would save time.  Maybe a heading of FAQ?  I think a lot of folks on the www know what FAQs are and to check out before posting to a site.

True, but then what we do is post a link to an article (on this site, of course) or another thread . so moderators and people don't have to retype the same things once every 3 months

and these always come up, every 3 months - ick, cycling, cloudy water, plants dying, ammonia !!! help !!!! .   etc....

just IMO.

Post Re: Poorly Fish heading?

Well, its the "easy way out" just to post and wait for someone to answer. Id rather read some articles but it seems that some people just post away without even looking at the articles page. Maybe if it were highlighted or something that would catch their attention, they might read first. I dunno! Maybe a beginner article explaining step by step very simply the abc's would help and have the article sort of jump out at them. Just a thought!

LOL!  ryingsmiley*
Good point. Kind of like:

Thank you for joining this website. Please no flaming or bashing someones tank and please use real plants. Please also read and memorize all the articles because you will be tested on a regular basis. O, one more thing, no questions are to be asked if it already mentions it in the articles.

Ok, forget it! Just being a little pessimitic.
