converting this messageboard into...

hey guys,

i found out that YaBB messageboard (that's the one we're using right now) has a php/mysql version.

i originally was going to pay $160dollars to buy a vBulletin one (so we could have all those cool features and it would be more stable) but i just found out that yaBB has a php/mysql version also.

i'll test out both boards and see. supposely it shouldn't be hard to convert this yabb board into the yabb php/mysql vesion. they even have a converter for that.

i'd probably only consider vbulletin if i'm able to convert all my members/messages over.

i would like to switch over to php/mysql so the server load isn't as great.

sweet. i'm going to grab the PHP version for my site. roxxor roxxor, i have been waiting for that. i'm too lazy to make it myself, though i did program a msg board from scratch in php. it's super hog tho. a billion hits on the db and whatnot. ..
