Default Tankmates?

What can be kept with Goldfish in a cold water tank? I'm not talking specifically in my 10 or 11 gallon tanks but in general. I know a few, can anyone add on?

Rosy Red Minnows
White Cloud Minnows
Dojo Loaches
Ghost Shrimp

Aren't catfish and guppies tropical? And I am asking about other things as well, not only fish, but interested in other fish as well.

Crayfish, African Clawed frog(Provided your fish are big enough to defend themselves), koi obviously, Weather loaches, Minnows, tadpoles/frogs(Provided the fish aren't too big)... the list goes on and on.

Yeah Plecos are ok with goldies... at least most people keep them together. I can't say whether the plecos enjoy the cold temperatures.
