|  Goldfish breed in the spring when the waters start to warm up after a long cold spell. They only breed once a year. The males chase the females around and get white bumps on their gills [ almost like little pimples]. Their colours get richer as well. Females are rounder in shape.

| have a look at the bum!!!! the female vent enlarges slightly and is convex the male vent is slightly concave in appearance.
