|  Filter Question I currently have a 50 gal tank that is lightly stocked with tiger barb, black skirt tetras and a couple platys. I would like to add a few more tankmates and wanted to know if it would be better for my whole operation to add another filter system to my tank. I currently have an aquaclear for 50 gal and was thinking of adding another on (maybe a smaller 20-30 gal) one on the opposite side of the one I have. IS this a good idea? I have heard that too much filter can upset the levels but I have also heard it makes for cleaner, healthier water. Someone please help clarify. Thank you! |

| I think therre are way to many factors to draw a line on do or don't. Size of the tank compared to the size of the filter would be the big one. I am sure someone has had a very bad experience using two, and they will tell you the down side.
