| Fill them tanks with crayfish... Breeding project with blue and white Procambarus alleni:
Some of you may recall the blue pair's mating video: YouTube - Blue Crayfish Mating
Their offspring are currently being raised together in my 38 gal. tank.
Here are some fairly current pics of the adults:
The female can be seen here...not the most graceful pose...
Right now I'm waiting for the blue female to berry-up from the mating with the white male. Growing collection of wild-caught crays:
Mostly to be kept singly as 'show specimens,' although I have kept several extra O. neglectus on-hand (two pairs) for future attempts at breeding them.

| I'm not a huge fan of crayfish, but those are some beautiful looking crays you got there, makes me almost want one. Of course I'm just tired of having to fish them out of our swimming pool everytime it rains, those buggers are fast!

Their success rate depends a lot upon tank size and layout, along with the size of cray(s) and what types/sizes of fish are in with them.
If I were to keep one as a pet in a 10-20 gal. tank (or larger), I'd probably house them with something like guppies. Sure, the cray would be bound to nab some up once in a while, but the guppies ought to reproduce enough to keep pace with any losses. Another choice might be something like white clouds or smaller tetras.

Just the other day I managed to catch some local crays in a nearby lake. They were replacements for a few smaller ones I had caught the day before. I put all three of them in at once, and my oscar Triton ate all of them...none for the salvini, lol.
